finest Art Nouveau buildings

The W17 event venue occupies a listed heritage building at 1077 Budapest, Wesselényi utca 17. Built in 1905 as the headquarters of the Budapest Shoemakers’ Guild to the designs of György Kopeczek, it has preserved its Art Nouveau elegance ever since.

The main hall is adorned with stained-glass windows from the workshop of the renowned glass artist Miksa Róth. Mosaic ornaments, wrought-iron details and turn-of-the-century style features make W17 one of the most splendid public buildings of Budapest’s Erzsébetváros district.

Since 2021 the building has been home to the Milestone Institute, which regularly welcomes external clients for workshops, conferences, corporate events, weddings and cultural events alike.
