From exhibitions through concerts to literary evenings: the W17 Art Nouveau Ceremonial Hall and Library offer a setting that is always a worthy companion to the content. Unique atmosphere, professional technology, 5 minutes from the Astoria M2 metro station.
Built in 1905, the building is still a home of culture today
The house at 17 Wesselényi Street was built to the designs of György Kopeczek — the former headquarters of the Budapest Shoemakers’ Guild has since witnessed very different lives. The decorative spirit of Art Nouveau has remained: stained-glass windows from Miksa Róth’s workshop, mosaic surfaces and wrought-iron details still ask each visitor whether they have arrived for an exhibition opening, a concert or a book-launch evening.
The W17 Ceremonial Hall can be rearranged flexibly: whether a standing layout for a travelling exhibition, a focused auditorium or a cosy author’s reading evening — the space adapts while the atmosphere remains.

From exhibitions to concerts, from literary evenings to film premieres — the Art Nouveau Ceremonial Hall and the Library are a natural home for many kinds of cultural events.
